How to configure the Sourcing Assistant

Open Agent Settings

Go to ChemCloud AI → Agent Settings → Sourcing Assistant.

Enable the agent

Toggle the Sourcing Assistant on. When enabled, it will process quote emails sent to your ChemCloud AI email address.

Configure the workflow

Set how the agent handles incoming quotes:
  • Automatic processing — the agent extracts and files quotes without manual intervention.
  • Request human review — the agent pauses before completing a task and asks for your confirmation. Useful when you want to verify extracted quote details before they’re saved.

Configure notifications

Set up notifications for when quotes are processed, when quotes are expiring, and when requests are waiting for a response.

Save your settings

Click Save. The agent will now process quote emails based on your configuration.
If you’re new to the Sourcing Assistant, start with Request human review enabled so you can verify how the agent extracts supplier pricing before switching to fully automatic processing.
