What’s in your catalogue
Each product in your catalogue represents a distinct item you sell. Products hold the key details buyers need when evaluating you as a supplier - the product name, grade, purity, origin, certifications and more. Buyer approvals and documents are stored against your products. When a customer approves one of your products, that approval links directly to the product record in your catalogue. The same applies to technical documents like TDS, SDS and COAs - they sit against the product they relate to.Pack sizes are what you sell
Each product can have one or more pack sizes (catalogue items). These represent the specific formats you sell in - for example, a 20kg bag, a 200L drum, or a 1000L IBC. Pack sizes typically align with the item codes in your ERP system. When a buyer requests a quote or places an order, they’re selecting a specific pack size from your catalogue. Why this matters
A complete, accurate catalogue means:- Buyers can find you - your products appear when customers search for materials
- Approvals are linked correctly - documents and compliance records sit against the right product
- Quoting is faster - pack sizes are ready for buyers to select when they request pricing
- Your data stays consistent - catalogue items map back to your ERP and PIM
