How documents work

Visibility to customers

When you upload a document against a product, it becomes visible to any customer viewing that product. Customers see your documents when they:
  • Evaluate your product during the approval process
  • Review a product suggestion you have sent them
  • Check compliance status on an existing approval

SDS management

The SDS is typically the most critical document for chemical products. Customers often require a current SDS before they can approve a product or place an order. Keep your SDS documents up to date. When you upload a new version, it replaces the previous one — customers always see the latest version.

Customer document requests

Customers can request specific documents from you directly through ChemCloud. When a customer requests a document, you will receive a notification. Upload the requested document against the product to fulfil the request.

Required documents

Some customers set required document types as part of their approval process. If a customer requires an SDS and you haven’t uploaded one, the approval will show as incomplete on their side. Uploading the required documents helps move approvals through faster.
