# How to add a product

> Add a product to your catalogue so buyers can discover it and request pricing

This guide shows you how to add a product to your catalogue on ChemCloud.

## Add a product

1. Navigate to **Products** from the main menu
2. Click **Add Product**
3. Enter the product details (see fields below)
4. Click **Save**

Your product is now visible to connected buyers and available for quoting.

## Product fields

| Field                | Description                                       | Example                           |

| Product Name         | Your branded or trade name for this product       | IMS95                             |
| Generic Name         | The common or chemical name buyers will recognise | Industrial Methylated Spirits 95% |
| Product Code         | Your internal SKU or product code                 | 12345678                          |
| Grade                | Product grade or specification                    | USP, Technical, Food Grade        |
| Purity               | Purity percentage                                 | 99.5                              |
| Concentration        | Active concentration percentage                   | 99.9                              |
| Physical State       | Physical form of the product                      | Liquid, Solid, Powder             |
| Origin               | Country of manufacture                            | USA, Australia, China             |
| Molecular Weight     | Molecular weight (where applicable)               | 180.16                            |
| Certifications       | Quality or regulatory certifications              | ISO 9001, Halal, Kosher           |
| INCI Name            | INCI name for personal care / cosmetic products   | Alcohol Denat.                    |
| Manufacturer Visible | Whether to show the manufacturer name to buyers   | Yes / No                          |

## Tips

* **Align with your PIM** - use the same product names and codes as your Product Information Management system so data stays consistent
* **Be specific with grades** - buyers filter by grade when searching, so entering this helps your products surface in the right results
* **Add certifications** - buyers often require specific certifications for their approval process. Adding them upfront saves back-and-forth later
