# How to request a sample from a quote

This guide shows you how to request a product sample from a supplier directly from their quote on a sourcing request.

## Request a sample from a quote

1. Open the sourcing request and find the supplier's quote
2. Click **Request Sample**
3. Enter the quantity and units you need
4. Add any special instructions or delivery details (optional)
5. Click **Send Request**

* An email is sent to the supplier's contact requesting the sample
* The request is logged against the quote
* The supplier can respond to arrange delivery
