# How to configure the Sourcing Assistant

> Set up the Sourcing Assistant agent to automatically extract and file supplier quotes.

# How to configure the Sourcing Assistant

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Agent Settings">
    Go to [**ChemCloud AI → Agent Settings → Sourcing Assistant**](https://app.chemcloud.com.au/buyer/automations/sourcing_assistant).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable the agent">
    Toggle the Sourcing Assistant on. When enabled, it will process quote emails sent to your ChemCloud AI email address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure the workflow">
    Set how the agent handles incoming quotes:

    * **Automatic processing** — the agent extracts and files quotes without manual intervention.
    * **Request human review** — the agent pauses before completing a task and asks for your confirmation. Useful when you want to verify extracted quote details before they're saved.

  <Step title="Configure notifications">
    Set up notifications for when quotes are processed, when quotes are expiring, and when requests are waiting for a response.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save your settings">
    Click **Save**. The agent will now process quote emails based on your configuration.

<Tip>
  If you're new to the Sourcing Assistant, start with **Request human review** enabled so you can verify how the agent extracts supplier pricing before switching to fully automatic processing.
